Hello fellow pre-dents,
I received this from Western...
I do not know what to think,
did anyone else receive this letter?
can anyone enlighten me on this letter?
does this happen often?
am i waitlisted for interview?
this is my no.1 school cause I live really close...

here is what they said in the e-mail:

"After an initial review by the College of Dental Medicine Admissions Committee, your application has been placed in “continuing review.” The Committee uses this status for those applications it is not prepared to make a final decision on at this time. All applications in this category will receive periodic review. We will notify you immediately of any change in the status of your application."

It means they might consider you for an interview at a later date but did not make the initial cut.

yeah it's just a courtesy email they send out to those that didn't get interview invites yet, b/c they are probably done with pre-dec 1st. interviews now.

it doesn't mean you'll not hear from them, since they will be interviewing post-dec.

Same here. Haven't received an e-mail nor interview. In limbo.

here is what they said in the e-mail:

It means you've not been selected for a pre-december interview, but they will re-evaluate your application once they see how many seats they have to offer post-dec interviews. (they haven't rejected you yet.. you still have a chance but they're just out of spots for pre-dec interviews right now...)

It means they haven't gotten to your application yet. They inspect each app very sloooooooooooowly.. have patience.. 😀 Once you get the "Congrats.. blah blah.. your app is complete" email then you should expect to hear from them within a few weeks.

I got my app complete email the end of July and just barely received an interview invite a couple of days ago. They have sent some post-dec. 1 interviews now.
