I don't think so at all. It is a new school, but they are modeling their curriculum after ASDOH so there is A LOT of clinic experience. They start working in clinic first year, so thats a major plus.
Also, all the students still have to take the boards. As long as they dont change boards to pass/no pass, specialty programs will be able to see board scores and accept students off that.
Honestly, I think Western is well on its way to being a really great school. I visited it a few weeks ago and they know what they are doing. State of the art technology and simulation labs....really cool
