Ooo! I like this answer the best! Seriously, they're really starting to F with my mind here. I can't take it much more! On second thought, maybe different people are picking up the phone and there really is no set time... they're just giving answers to keep us happy.
 
i called them a few days ago and they told me they hadnt even LOOKED at my application yet, let alone make a decision as to an interview! I def think theyre running way behind, so it might be a few days/weeks till interviews start coming out...

Wait, let me preempt this for their response tomorrow "I just called earlier today and they said that if the carrier pigeon doesn't show up either today or tomorrow, then we should call animal control and see if they might've picked it up."

:laugh: maybe it will be via singing telegram or a sky-written interview invite. I would personally encourage either of them. "I am your singing telegram. From Western University, we are all about diversity. We invite you to interview..sorry for not getting back to you. We got a little behind, so hopefully this will ease your mind"...see you in 5 days.
after typing that, I realized that I have too much spare time on my hands.

Jpeterman that's hysterical. Keep it up and ill have to throw in a reccomendation for you here (not that it means anything) haha. Guys, hold on a bit longer, like I said, my invite wasn't till Jan 26, AND it went to my spam e-mail so make sure to check there too. If I run into my source tom. Ill try to dig a little deeper for you. I empathize, but its def happening in the next week or two.

Jersey girl where are u from? I'm from East Brunswick 🙂 there are quite a few Jersey-ans here and east coasters. I'd love to up the #'s though 🙂

CONGRATS GUYS!!! When are the interview dates?
 
"Interviews will be held on our Pomona, California campus and are scheduled for the weeks of February 1-6 and 8-13, 2010. At this time we are only scheduling appointments for the week of February 1-6. Scheduling for the second week will begin once the first week has been filled."
 
Yay! I'd pretty much given up on hearing from them this week! Here's hoping for a Saturday interview so I don't have to miss classes!

Word to this. Each out of state interview costs me roughly $500 and I've been to two so far, with another on the horizon....gonna have to see what I can scrape from the piggy bank and wallet (aside from lint).

I would assume from this that they will be sending out more interviews since they are only filling up spots for the first week and they still have to fill up spots for the second week. Good Luck; I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!! :luck: :xf:
 
I called Western a few minutes ago and they said they only did a few last night and they would continue doing the invites through end of next week. 🙂 Very nerve wracking!!
 
I called as well and apparently my app is still under review, but she said they are trying to finish up app reviews by today. And if we are missing anything that we will ne notified tom. so we should be hearing back up until next friday. So hopefully the rest of us get interviews. :xf: We all just need to be patient now

I completely feel you. I am heading to Kansas for the weekend of the 31st, and that's going to cost a lot (damn shuttle from Kansas City to Manhattan!!). Thankfully I live in Texas, so the airfare isn't too horrible. Then I'm expected to be in California the first weekend in February!? I'm thinking no dice on that one. Unless you want to road trip Hopeful, I don't bite. Haha! 😛

No. No confirmation yet, I would guess that they will e-mail us right after they close so they do not get swamped with phone calls (like they did for the interview invites) I think they prefer e-mail communication.
 
Finally after applying two years in a row, an interview! Also no confirmation back on the scheduling! Congrats to all who got them! Better luck next time to those that did not, I know how it feels!
 
It's official. I withdrew my app! I just simply can't afford a trip to Cali right now with everything else going on. I hope this opens up a slot for someone else!!! 😳
 
Got confirmation of my interview!! I am interviewing Monday, February 1st. The entire process will last from 8AM-12:30PM. I hope I can meet some SDNers at the interview. Good Luck to everyone else!!! :luck:
 
Got confirmation too! Mine is Saturday, Feb 6th and will last from 9:45am- 2:10pm

Behavioral-based is where they asked you experience type questions. Like tell me about a time when you had to solve a conflict in a group setting? And you have to give an example of how you did that. Good Luck!!! :luck:
 
Was excited to hear from Western since it's the only "local" school for me. Just heard today that they aren't counting one of my 300 level courses as upper division. Really bummed. It seems kind of late in the game to tell me that.

Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else! Good luck!
