Hey guys,

I've been accepted to both of these two schools (which were my top two choices) and I was wondering if you guys knew where I have a better chance at specializing. I know it all depends on how I perform at school but given that I would do that same at both schools, where would I have a higher chance at specializing? The specialties I am interested in are emergency medicine, radiology, dermatology, anesthesiology, and surgery. I would also be happy to practice in California or Nevada. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is cost, weather, etc... to put into consideration.

the cost is pretty similiar (both expensive) and I'd be happy with weather at any location. I'm just saying if all other factors are equal, where would I have a better chance at specializing?

Western, I would say they have a much stronger reputation. Touro NV has only been around for like 5 years now. Plus, Western has a bigger/better campus.

Western is also harder to get in, so that adds to the reputation, IMO.

Western has a well established program with a very good reputation, especially in CA and the west coast in general. If all your other factors are equal, Western is the better choice IMO and I'd be willing to be that most people would agree with that.
