hi. i'm new to this thing...
ne ways i just called admissions for western u and decided to post something since i'm sure everyone is anxious and are going crazy like i am (checking email every min 😎)

so they said all those who are accepted will pretty much hear from them via email by sometime tomo... everyone else (the alternate,hold,reject) will receive something by mail soon thereafter. so pretty much if you don't get email by tomo they're saying you're not accepted yet... (this is just my interpratation to what they were saying)

the anticipation is killing me...

on a side note, this is purely my own observations... but i noticed that so far of the people i know who have been accepted to western have been in group A...(there were 3) i wonder if that means ne thing for people in group B... or am i just over analyzing? 😕

I wonder how many people they have accepted thur e-mail already. I called my counselor yesterday and she said that they have been sending out letters and today they will try to finish sending them out. I asked her about the acceptance e-mails and she wasn't aware that they were sent out those e-mails....🙁 I hope we find out soon. Has anyone else called them?

i called, people will be reconsidered after the break for alternative, hold or reject so that's pretty much it for those who got admit from the first interview.

I agree, well, i don't know how it works but the lady i spoke to, told me they usually send out snail mail or call student about their status(if they got admitted) but that doesn't seem to be the case this year? the new trend is email?

I live in Southern California and I got an acceptance letter in the mail today and it was postmarked yesterday. My friend also got his today and he got a call yesterday evening. He lives in the same area. So I guess if you're from CA and you got accepted, I think you will get a letter today or tomorrow. Good luck guys!

but u did receive the email before the snail mail, didn't u? if so they really defeat the purpose of snail mail like they said during the interview "no email" ...oh well, in or out we will know just my 2cents about their not so consistent coordination

ok so I just called again and they told me that they are done accepting people for now until after the next interview no more acceptance I'm sorry everyone this really sucks I thought I did really well in my interview I guess I was wrong

I was in group B...so it doesn't really mean anything. although i do believe that it was somewhat based on luck since my interviewers were so nice...which helped a lot! stay positive everyone

how many accepted students are reapplicant or first time? regarding the calls, it's strange because I heard(from students and adm. counselor) the adm.committee are independent from interviewers but the interviewers made the calls?

Hi Frank,

You only need to send your official transcript to PharmCAS only! Western won't accept transcripts from you UNTIL you've been accepted. However, for SC, I believe you must update your file with your Fall 2007 transcripts.

I just came back from vacation and found out I got accepted into Western. On the letter, it says to notify them in writing by January 4 if I wish to have a seat reserved for me. Does that mean just filling out the offer sheet and including that $500 check? Thanks and good luck to all of you!

science gpa was 3.57 and overall was 3.60. I actually mailed out my supplemental application on October 30th.

I had my interview on dec. 8 and I was notified of my acceptance via email on dec. 19. The hard copy of my acceptance letter was in my pile of mail, but I have no idea when I received it since I just got back from vacation today.
