I used to teach the mcat for PR, and I really felt that their stuff was better than Kaplan. This is NOT the case for Step 1. The MCAT is PR's cash cow so that's where they put their efforts. They supplied me with all their Step 1 stuff, including the online questions.
The books are just OK, but do have a lot of errors that haven't been revised. The good thing about the books is that they are broken down into subjects fairly well. The margins have very helpful facts that are very testable. Also know that the format is not like the mcat "blue book." The Step 1 books are info and that's it...no mneumonics, tips, etc.
The online q's SUCK compared to QBank.
Good luck.
