I got accepted to my first choice school (DMU) which was, incindentally, my first interview. So I just cancelled my other intervews. The thing is, it was really hard to bring myself to cancel at those other schools. I feel really good about DMU, but I have spent so much time trying to get intervews that cancelling was really counter-intuitive. Have any of you cancelled any interviews yet? Have you made final decisions about where to go to school?

I'm in the same boat as you, except with NSU. They were my first choice and my first interview. I cancelled all the other interviews I had since no matter what, I was positive that I would still choose NSU over those schools..so why waste the money and take a spot from someone else. But a part of me still thinks I should at least check out one more school to make sure, so I cancelled all but one (PCOM). Congrats on your acceptance to DMU!! 🙂

I felt the same way...I knew that I would turn down the other schools so interviewing would be pointless (and needlessly expensive). I am totally stoked about DMU and I wish we were starting right now! Congrats on NSU!

Same here otter, got into NSU and I cancelled all but PCOM, NYCOM, and will probably attend my interview at COMP. Does feel bad though after all that time and money on sec's... just happy im in. Congrats to all!!

I'm probably going to turn down all other interviews, though the school in my situation is OU.

Same boat here. I just canceled all the schools that I wouldn't go to over the one's I've been accepted. I'm in a unique situation however, my brother is applying this year. But he decided to save money and just apply to schools that were first teir osteo. So....I have basically canceled every app at all schools except where he has applications. All the schools that I have interviews and he has not, I just postponed my interview for financial reasons, to buy me a little time. Which, is not a lie because I can't afford to go to anymore. I'm going to let him pay for the rest. 😀

I almost feel guilty canceling interviews... I called today to cancel and I just postponed instead. If I hear good news from TUCOM-NV or COMP, then I will cancel the others. If not, then I don't know what I'll do because the other schools I have been accepted to, although very very impressive, were not top choices. End of the week I will know about both schools I am really hoping for (or hoping I don't get into because COMP will be too hard to turn down due to location, but other schools had better everything else). I will know where I stand with both COMP and Touro-NV on Friday!!!

Well, I turned down one interview because the school had a dress code - and I knew it couldn't compete in my heart with DMUCOM and MSUCOM. I'm still going to my COMP interview to check it out-plus my brother lives in LA and I'm going to spend five days with him. I've heard some good things about COMP - although I don't think I could afford rent and tuition - its more just fun.

Pretty soon I'm going to send in my decisions to not attend several schools, tho. I don't want to hold up those slots while others are still trying to get accepted.

Cancel them... except the one or two you are likely to consider.
It is a WASTE OF TIME to you and to the school. Other students can get interviewed accepted and be put at eaze.
