I just started my family med. rotation and I took step 1 a year ago. I have forgotten a lot of material and am wondering what books to use to do well on the shelf. I have heard casefiles is good, but any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like some combo of casefiles, pretest, blueprints (although most say it's too light on info) is the best. I've also heard using step up to medicine can be helpful, especially the ambulatory section. The gen consensus seems to be that it is a difficult exam to study for and there is no great source for it. I haven't taken the shelf yet, but that is what I've gathered from reading a few threads about it.

Is First Aid for the Step 2 CK plus Case Files a good way to prepare to for this test? And maybe throw in the ambulatory chapter of Step up to Med?
