what are my chance to get into St.George's University?

[FONT=굴림][FONT=굴림]I have been very interested in studying in Podiatric Medicine in your college..

[FONT=굴림]If you could, please give me detailed informaiton about 'my chances'?.

[FONT=굴림]My DAT score is 18 (TS 20, AA18, QR16 RC16 BIO 20 OR 20 GC 20) .
[FONT=굴림]TS means total science and 20 is equivalent to 90percentaile..
[FONT=굴림]However, I did MCAT once but I got 18.... which is very low... so I am planning to.
[FONT=굴림]retake it soon. .

[FONT=굴림]Currently, my cumulative GPA from UBC is low which is 2.5 due to very low grades from 1st and 2nd, and 3rd year. However, my GPA from 4rd and 5th and 6th year are good!.

[FONT=굴림]In my 6th year, I was even listed in Dean's Honor list for high GPA in 4th year!.
[FONT=굴림](means 6th year ave is over 80 percent).

[FONT=굴림]I have over 1300 hours of volunteer.. so.. yah.. please give me some ture advise...

[FONT=굴림]If I do Special Master Program at Barry University (Biomedical Science), and get over 3.7, would I have a chance to get in?.

Not to be harsh but good god man, I hope you didn't e-mail this to the school.

18 MCAT is too low. 2.5 is too low. You won't get into any MD, even SGU with those grades or MCAT score. Maybe if you score MUCH MUCH higher (ie near 30) you could get into SGU. If you do a post-bacc at barry (how do you plan to get in with such low scores) you have an outside shot...

Clean up your message, its damn near impossible to read.
Don't post in 5 different forums.
Be prepared to work your ass off, for a long time, before you have a shot.

4.0 won't completely make up for earlier low MCAT.

And with a 25 there will be some very serious concerns that you won't have the test taking and study skills needed to pass boards. It happens. Do you really want to get into a medical school just to be unlicensed because you couldn't pass the steps (it does happen even to students at US medical schools).


If you really really must go to medical school I suggest you spend some time at a community college retaking your prerequisites. Take some English classes. Retake the MCAT and get at least a 28 if not a 30 - then apply to DO schools.
