Hi all,

Before i begin, i'd like to thank all those who've always put up insightful info on this forum! Thanks guys.

I took my DAT and got 18AA. It was suggested to me that i go ahead and apply with my current scores. I'm going to have to call and find out what the cutoff's for GC and QR are but do any of u have any advice on what schools i should look into more than others?

Appreciate all feedback!

Honors in Biology and Psychology
GPA 3.6
Science GPA 3.5

PAT 17
QR 15
RC 18
Bio 21
GC 16
OC 21
TS 19
AA 18

Who suggested you apply with those scores? You are right on the cutoff for QR and GC for many schools. Your PAT score is low as well. You can apply, but if I were you and you can afford it, I would retake. I'm sure with more studying an an emphasis on QR and GC you can get a 20+ for both AA and TS

ok. Yea, i initially was planning on retaking it.
Any recommendations on improving the QR score.
I was struggling with time a lot in this sections. pretty sure i guessed on half.

I mean an 18 with your GPA is average for a lot of schools. If your Gchem was a 17 it would of been fine if you applied broadly.. To be 100% safe, yeah retake- but honestly I'm positive if you applied super early and have excellent ECA's, recommendations, etc- you'd land a few interviews..

Immerse yourself in math. Math isn't really something you can study for overnight. It's a culmination of your middle school algebra all the way to college level pre-calc. Keep doing practice problems until you "get it" and you'll definitely start to reason the problems much more coherently.

Everything else can be studied for, but it's hard to really study for math without immersing yourself in it.

I appreciate that. I'll try to apply right off the bat when they open in May.

Yea i kept writing everything down and found myself reaching for the calculator often. Taking too much time in doing calculations also hindered my time in the GChem section i believe...Too bad i didnt notice this when i was taking the practice tests. Sigh..
