Hey everyone,

So here are my stats:

cGPA: 3.56. sGPA: 3.35
MCAT: 24 (8, 8, 8)
Applying day one

FL resident, born in Cuba,

Gist of EC's:
~ 500 hours undergraduate research
Couple of leadership positions in some clubs and organizations
~ 800 hours of volunteer (medical and non-medical)
Shadowed both MD and DO, letters from both
I'd say the quality of my EC's are pretty average

Letters are pretty good. I'd say they are above average since they knew me pretty well.

I decided on DO over MD in 2013 before I even started studying for my MCAT.

Please be honest with me, will the 24, even though it's balanced, affect me too much? I'm kind of bummed out, but this was the minimum score I'd be okay with prior to taking my exam.

And I don't mean to call you out, but if @Goro could help me, I'd really appreciate that. I've seen you give some people great and honest advice. And if I'm missing anything, let me know and I'll supply the information.

Everyone else, please feel free to be honest with me. I greatly appreciate it.

You're below the floor for my school, but apply broadly and I think you'll be OK, especially with the newer schools (ACOM, Campbell, PCOM-GA, VCOM-SC)

Thank you, I appreciate your input.

Can anyone help with a school list? So far, I have:
LMU, CUSOM, ACOM, MUCOM, LUCOM, LECOM-B, VCOM-VC, VCOM-CC, KCOM, WVSOM, KYCOM, and KCUMB.

Looks like a good list. it appears you want to stay in the SE? Perhaps add Wm Carey, NovaCOM, PCOM-GA. If you're thinking of MUCOM, the CCOM is worth a look as well. I cannot recommend LUCOM.
