Take some time to thoroughly study for the test. I think what's important to keep in mind is that timewise, there is not rush for medical school. I hate to repeat myself through a lot of these threads, but if you have a substandard MCAT, take your time to make the score better. This is for two reasons:
1) If you apply with lower stats, you'll probably have to apply to many schools, just to see if anyone will bite. This will be expensive. Why apply and burn through that money just because...?😕
2) Having lower stats means you'll have to reapply should you not get in, and let's be honest-statistically, you're already fighting an uphill battle anyway. There is a decent chance you may have to reapply, which means updated LORs, new PS, perhaps retaking the exam (because you finally saw with your own eyes that perhaps nobody might bite), and waiting another year in anxiety.
So, to avoid that, just spend as much time you need to master the MCAT. your GPA isn't horrible but by not putting your best foot forward, you diminish your odds at getting accepted in general, and who is to say that the school you get accepted to, is the school that will best cultivate your talents as a physician?
