You can remove these schools:
Michigan State
Northwestern
UCLA
UCSD
UCSF
Miami
Louisville
Virginia Tech
Colorado
You could add Seton Hall and TCU-UNT. You may receive some MD school interviews from the rest of your list.

I already submit to those schools, but is there any particular reason?

I know I'm not competitive for Northwestern, but my dad went to dental school there and he insisted that legacy would help lol (I don't think so).

Your dad is wrong.

If you already submitted your primary to those schools, you can save money and time now by not filling out the secondaries. Especially with all the schools you’re all applying to, you’ll want to capitalize on whatever financial ressources and TIME you have, so you can send in polished essays

I was thinking about that. Sort of sucks that they don’t pre-screen because it’s hard to tell which to focus on and which one’s are “you never know”.

It's insane to apply to 43 schools.

here is a more realistic list:
Rush
NYMC (maybe)
Creighton
Albany
Rosy Franklin
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
MCW
WVU
Wayne State
Tulane
Loyola
Wake Forest
Loma Linda (only if you are SDA or a very devout Christian)
VCU
Netter
Seton Hall
EVMS
Oakland-B
Gtown
GWU
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Nova MD
UCD
UCI
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me.

Your stats are not competitive for those schools, including those OOS schools that give preference to those applicants from their own state or region.

Yeah. I hear you. Unfortunately, there really isn’t a “you never know” chance with the schools that have much higher stats. I mean we’re not talking about couple point difference on the MCAT— we’re talking about a 10+ point difference. Even with incredible ECs your chances would be almost zero for those. The frustrating reality is that they’re not going to accept you, so your time is much better spent on schools that might.

With all that said I’ll just repeat that it IS frustrating to admit that. But it’s the wiser thing to acknowledge that, so you aren’t wasting money on those schools.

Too late now I guess, I just won’t focus on their secondaries. Thank you!

You make a good point. I’ll definitely focus on the schools I have a shot at.

Why can't you recommend Touro NY? I thought that would be a good option.

Brooklyn, NY - A former official at New York City’s Touro College has pleaded guilty to charges of creating and falsifying student transcripts for money.
Michael Cherner of Brooklyn pleaded guilty today to bribe receiving, falsifying business records and possession of a forged instrument. In exchange, he will receive one to three years in prison.
Cherner, who’s 51, must also forfeit $100,000. Prosecutors say he has paid $68,000 and the rest is due by his sentencing date of March 19.
Cherner was the $80,000-a-year director of Touro’s Brooklyn campus computer center. Prosecutors said he took bribes to create master’s degree transcripts for three public school teachers who never attended Touro.

WOW. That's not what I expected all. Welp already donated $50 to them, but thanks for the update. Thank you as well @Goro.

I hadn't heard this story (or have forgotten about it), this is about a decade old, and has to do with Touro's parent organization. I wouldn't ding Touro-NY for this, given its age and the college it was in.

My beef is this:
Poor COMLEX II pass rates;
