Hi everyone, I need some feedback and would really appreciate anyone's help. I am really struggling to get my MCAT score up due to work and family life. Should I push my exam date back to July 20th (registered for 6/16). I spoke with the group of physicians I work with to take additional time off and they were okay with it. Below is my information that I will be applying with. Should I stick with my current exam date or push it back to July 20th. Will I be too late for interviews for MD or DO if I take the exam on July 20th? Also, where should I apply?

Also please let me know if I should post this anywhere else that is relevant. Feel free to be critical. Thanks!

Don’t take the MCAT until you are scoring at or near your target goal on FL practice tests. The MCAT is a life defining exam so don’t take it until you are comfortable even if it means delaying your application for another cycle. Good luck.

A July 20th date is fine for DO schools. Post your score here when available in August.
What about MD schools? Would that be considered a late application even if my MCAT score turns out to be competitive for both MD/DO schools?

A July 20th date is fine to apply to MD schools. However, with your undergraduate GPA you are unlikely to receive MD interviews unless your MCAT is at least 510.
