Hey Guys! First time posting here. I have a question. I recently applied for TU-COM CA and they gave me notification that my application was "complete" as of 3/30. So, here is my question. With a 3.7 and 27, what are my chances right now at getting an interview (not gonna even think of making it at this point)? How long does it take for them to get back to you? Someone told me 1-2 weeks after the applicaiton is completed IF they choose you for interview. I know it is very late in the game right now, but I am still nervous and hopeful. Any advice? Thanks for your input.

Your stats are pretty close to the average( 3.5, 27) for the school, so your chances aren't bad. They have a fantastic turnaround time, so you should know something soon.
They are still interviewing, so don't worry about that. At this stage, they're going to be a lot more picky about who they pick, so I really don't know your chances. I would put it at about 60%, but that's just a guess. Call up Dr. Haight and ask where they are in the process. He'll be straight with you.
Good luck!

What about your chances at TUCOM-CA if you're a case of Mediocre GPA/High MCAT? I'm about three years off from worrying about it, but TUCOM-CA would probably be my top choice DO school.

OK, something doesn't seem to be matching here. Where did you get this statistics for TU-COM of a 3.5 and 27 this year? I finally found their stats posted on their website:

http://209.209.34.25/Webdocs/Admissions/TUCOMpage3.htm

And based on their stats from the previous years, they are not in the range you just stated and the person in the admissions said that they have not released any actual information for this year since they are still in the application process. After hearing this, I talked to my friend who made it in to Tu-COM and he said that Dr. Height told the group that the applicant average this year is a 3.4 and 26, and he was interviewed late February. So, was it Dr. Height who told your group this? When did you get the interview?

hi! if this gives you hope, your stats are much higher than mine are and i got my very first med school interview with tucom in california on monday 🙂 my app was only complete at the end of february and i heard from them about a week and a half later. I think they genuinely take into consideration all aspects of your application, not just scores. You are obviously very bright and i'm sure you have just as much of a chance of getting an interview with them. Best of luck!
