Im applying to dental schools next year in the beginning of June.
I have 2 more semesters to raise up my GPA, and study for DATs.
Currently, I have:
Major: Biology B.S. (New Jersey Resident) going to school in NY
Overall GPA 3.48
Science GPA 3.46
Expecting to get 19/19/19 DAT or higher.
250 hours of dental experience as a dental assistant.
Magna cum laude student.
So far, 4-time consecutive dean's list.
Dean's scholarship.
Some E.C. activities (associations, society, clubs for school).

My top choices are: UMDNJ, Upenn, columbia, tufts, Maryland.
Can anyone narrow down my school list to Reach/Match/Safety?
Upenn
Stony Brook
North Carolina
Buffalo
UMDNJ
Columbia
Tufts
Maryland
University of Illinois
Case Western
Pittsburgh
Louisville
Virginia Common Wealth
marquette
West Virginia
Washington
NYU
BU
Temple
Midwestern

Thanks!

Well, given your GPA, and if you end up with 19s as you predict, Stony Brook and Columbia will probably toss your application right out the window. If I were you, I would put add Uconn and Penn as my "reach." Put Buffalo, UMDNJ, Tufts, and Maryland as "match," and then throw in NYU and BU as safety.

Also, how are you a Magna Cum Laude student with a below dean's list GPA? Usually Magna Cum Laude is bestowed upon those with a greater than 3.80 GPA.

Thanks!
Anyone else?
Is columbia THAT hard to get in?
