I am planning to apply to DO schools. I retook my MCAT, which was previously a 499 and received a 503 (124-127-126-126) . My cumulative gpa is 3.61 and my science gpa is 3.47. I have excellent extracurriculars, a DO LOR, shadowing, research, study abroad experience, and EMT experience. What DO schools should I look into? And will I be able to get accepted somewhere?

You should be good for newer schools such as ACOM or VCOM-Auburn. Your MCAT is right around the average for many schools and your GPA is not bad. If you choose to apply, the sooner the better.

To answer your second question, yes you'll definitely get into a DO school (most DO schools) with those stats (assuming interview goes well).
As for your first question, apply to whichever ones you want. Buddy of mine got into PCOM with a 500 MCAT (non-penn resident, ORM), so I'd say if he can do you can too.

Apply broadly especially to the new schools and I think you'll be fine OP. Good luck! Apply early as possible.

Target the newest schools, + LECOM

To clarify I am planning on taking a gap year. So I will be applying on the earliest possible day for the 2018-2019 cycle. Does this change my chances and if so which DO schools should I consider looking at?

Is there a specific reason why?

Our stats are pretty similar, i received a 501 on the MCAT and as of 11-2-17 I had interview invites to ARCOM, ACOM, BCOM, WCUCOM, UPIKE-KYCOM, LUCOM, PCOM (PA) and CUSOM.. Hope this helps.

unless you do something with the gap year it won't mean much. I did CNA experience in a hospital and loved it

You should be fine, just apply broadly and especially to the newer schools as mentioned above ^. I know people (family members included) similar to your stats who got accepted to several DO schools.
