You have an uphill battle ahead of you, especially if you're a Cali resident. Getting that GPA up and a good MCAT score are priorities. Make sure you get some good letters lined up so you don't have to scramble
agree. Its going to be rough op.
The california curse.
I've been hearing alot about how bad it is to be a CA resident, as one, I was just wondering, just how bad is it?
For example, 3.5/30, Texas resident = ? CA resident?
Like, if someone was 3.5/30 Texas resident, approximately how much of a difference would that make if they were a CA resident applying to Texas schools?
Well for one thing, I don't think 3.5/30 will get you into ANY CA school unless you were a minority or did something outstanding in your app. But even then no guarantees.
And if you were 3.5/30 CA resident I don't think any Texas school would take you.....aren't Texas schools really IS heavy?
I'm not an expert on this (despite being a CA resident) so feel free to add more or correct me if something is missing or wrong.
