I have a family member who is very interested in PT, but his GPA is not that great. His science and cumulative are both around 3.3, he did poorly his first year of college (admittedly too much partying), getting a C in G Chem (an A in the lab though) but since then he has been getting a 3.8-4.0 every semester. He wants to apply this year and is doing 20 hours a week job shadowing. He does interview well, people always like and get along with him, he has great people skills. The only thing he is worried about is the GPA, I told him that it is good he had trouble earlier and is doing well now as opposed to getting strait As his first 2 years and then having a bad 3rd year, but does anyone have any input or been in a similar situation. I told him to shotgun it and apply to as many programs as he can.

His GPA is fine. As long as his prereqs are strong and he does above average on his GREs, he will be able to find a PT school that will accept him.
