What are my chances? Please help

Hey guys:

I am current student in my last year of college.(bio major) i am applying to 8 carribean schools and4do schools in the united states.

My gpa once i graduate will be in the 2.9-3.0 gpa overall (i know its not good)
took mcat in sept did terrible (17) taking it again this may will be aiming to get from 24-28 i can do it.. The first time i had little time to really study due to family issues and me getting sick.
I have voluntered at a hospital, with a doctor took a emt course back in highschool. Did all classes i need plus cell physiology, genetics, experemential design, evolutionary biology etc..

I speak arabic english and pretty good at spanish

so what you guys think my chances are with

🙂 i know i wrote a story lol i am just really stressed and hoping for the best i worked like crazy in college to help my family and be able to pay for school. Once in med school no work no family issues complete focus on med school.

for sgu, you should keep your gpas above 3.0 and aim for a 27 mcat range. 👍 good luck 🙂

I am applying with the stats but I still have next semester left and even a couple classes after graduation that I am interested in taking so I believe my gap will go above 3.0 and the mcats I have 4 months to study and taking a Kaplan course so that should help! Hopefully I be able to pull it to a 27 🙂

Hello this is a biology student from Montclair State University New Jersey United States. I have a question well researched as to what the answer may be, but will ask for something more specific to me. I wish to enter into a good medical school any where in the world, and would like to know my chances of getting in possibly to the so called big 4 in the caribbean. I'am a senior with 5 courses left to take which can raise my gpa, I have 2 years of volunteer experience and participation in various school clubs. I have not taken the MCAT yet but I'am taking the kaplan prep course from may to august, and will be taking it in august. My science gpa is 2.694 and my cumulative gpa is a 3.065. What are my chances for admission at accredited schools any where in the world preferably the supposed Big 4?

SGUs Avg entrance GPA and MCAT are as follows: 3.4/3.4 26/27, if you are significantly below average in one of these areas, you may still have a chance and be offered the Foundations program or the opportunity to increase your GPA in the Post-Bacc program. Both of these programs would give you the opportunity to increase your likelihood of entry into the SOM, if not gaurantee you entry as long as you maintain a certain GPA. It is not too expensive to apply so get your ap in ASAP!
