My scores are PAT|QR|RC|Bio|Ghem|Orgo|TS|AA =19|17|17|19|21|17|19|18

I just became a resident last month (got killed on reading this time), I was an international student. I'm also a post-bach @ UH, my biology GPA is 3.8, however, my undergraduate (Chemistry major) GPA is around 3.0 at a private college and I had to work 20 hours/week; I have a M.S. in Chemistry, but I got screwed with QR this time, because I didn't memorize those formulas and was really slow. I didn't practice the math part cuz I "was" always good at math, 790 on GRE quantitative without practice. I studied the test for around 2 months. My questions are:

1. What are my chances of getting into the dental school @ Houston?
2. Should I retake the exam in December? would that be too late to send in the score?
3. How about out-of-state school? I'm Texas resident, and would like to stay in Texas

Thank you all

Your MS GPA is 3.8? Fine
Yes a retake is necessary.

I would also say retake... However, retaking it in December will more than likely not do you very much good for this cycle as it is VERY late. Therefore, I would only retake it in december if you can for sure kill it and then maybe you have a chance at getting in this year. Otherwise, I would just wait until you are fully prepared and then retake it and apply again next year if you don't get in with your current scores.

No sense in retaking it too early and not getting the scores you want. 👍
