So I am projected to have a 3.4 gpa, 3.5 science gpa and am going to lowball myself saying that I'll get a 28 mcat. In totality with 3.4 overall, 3.5 science, and a 28 mcat (as well As a good bit of activities that will help my application such as job shadowing, volunteer wrestling coaching, chemistry tutor, organic chemistry lab teachers assistant TA, and tech desk employee) what are my chances of getting into these three schools?

Penn state Hershey medical

The commonwealth medical college

Thomas Jefferson

And possibly DO schools in PA.

Also,

What other schools might I have a chance at getting into based on those scores? Including DO or MD

Thanks

I guess you have looked at the sticky above and know that your statistical odds are low (around 25%). If you haven't already submitted your AMCAS application and don't have an MCAT score you are rapidly becoming a late applicant for MD. If you delay your MCAT exam until you are consistently scoring >30 your odds will go up significantly, though you would probably need to delay your application until next cycle.
It would be wise to investigate the acquisition of a DO letter if you are hoping to start school in 2015.

Unless you have practice tests to back that up, your GPA is insufficient evidence that you can outscore 2/3rds of premedical students on the MCAT. Take an AAMC practice test (or three) and come back.

With a 3.4 and a 28, you'd be a long shot for MD.

Barely in the average for PCOM, so not in the bag but possible. More likely at LECOM campuses with an early application. Apply broadly for DO in the north east and you'll find something. I think 7 to 9 applications with two safeties for DO is fine for you.

I'll be applying for next cycle. Starting test prep soon, I'm just wondering if I get around a 28 if it's worth applying
