I took the MCAT 3 times and got a 24 all three times. SciGPA: 3.60, overall: 3.67

Breakdowns:
1- 9v 7p 8b
2- 10v 7p 7b
3-(most recent) 7v 8p 9b

I had really bad luck with this last test since I drank caffeine and had to go pee during verbal, but I had scored a 30 on my practice before the exam. I'm scheduled for a retake on the 27th so I can get a better score in for this app. Cycle. My ECs include student government association with various leadership positions. I also have over 100 hours of shadowing and attended pre- medical academies every summer for a month at a medical school. I have 2 research experiences with no pubs and I was a tutor and biology TA. I want to stay in TX. I made the mistake of taking the MCAT way too early ( April of my 2nd year) because I had hopes of applying early. As you can see, it didn't work out.

I guess you have already looked at the MSAR and deduced the obvious.

The 10th% MCAT for Galveston and Foster is 26. Unless you have a compelling reason why you are the exceptional candidate for the small number of spots that merit this distinction, it's time to start looking at new (OOS) DO schools.

Scoring 24 on three separate attempts basically destroys your chances at MD. Doesn't matter what you get on the retake as it'll be considered a fluke at best. Look into lower-tier DO schools.
