I just wanted some recommendations for DO schools that are within a reasonable reach for me. I applied last cycle in December I've had two II one for PCOM-PA, and the other for LECOM, but not much since then. I spoke to schools about re-applying and what to do better for next cycle, most said to just reapply much earlier with the same stats. So I'm asking for this wonderful communities' help in creating a list of reasonable schools to apply to this coming year with these stats.

sGPA
3.38 cGPA 3.49
-MCAT: 25(8/6/11)
-Clinical volunteer activities: EMT/EMS for 1000+hours. ED volunteer for 50 hours.
-Physician shadowing: Shadowed a DO for ~100 hours, got him to write a letter of rec for me
-Research: 2 years of research and a publication in the journal of separation sciences
-Nonclinical volunteer activities: Portuguese tutor (free and paid)

From what I've gathered I should skip applying to the following schools just from looking at previous posts: CA and NY Touros, CCOM, Western, LUCOM, and KCUMB.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Skip AZCOM as well.

So you had 2 interviews but denied at both? Did you get any feedback?

I haven't been rejected yet but from the trends in sdn they kind of lean towards that or a heavy wait list number.
I'm just preparing for the worst. I had my interview for pcom-pa in mid February , I was sent a letter a month layer saying that they were delaying their decision on my application until April 30th. I've checked sdn and it seems those who have been accepted have been sent a copy of their acceptance letter via email and I have yet to receive one. LECOM is also sending me a letter with their final decision enclosed.

All things considered, I'm a mediocre applicant for DO schools at best and the one piece of information that I've received from schools is to re-apply early with my stats. I feel as though applying late was a big strike against me.

My understanding for MD/DO schools is that anything below 7 in sections are frowned upon. At least this was the consult that I got from my pre-medical adviser at my institution.
