Hello everyone,

So I am about halfway through my Jr Year and I would like to know what the community thought about my chances are. I have not taken an MCAT yet, just a heads up. I am an Illinois resident and would like to stay in the Chicago/midwest area.

I am a first generation college student and am hispanic and can speak fluent Spanish.

These are the GPA's I think I will get when applying this upcoming cycle:
cGPA: 3.75 sGPA: 3.6
Extracurriculars:
Have been a track and field/cross country athlete all throughout undergrad.
About 40 hours shadowing an MD and 40 shadowing a DO
70 hours of mentoring at the Boy's and Girl's club where the town I live in is very underprivileged.
100 hours helping out at an animal shelter
70 hours of volunteering at the ER
Gone on two medical missions trips to Haiti
2 summers of research and multiple poster presentations at various science forums as well as research my last two semesters in school
Pre-Med mentor for incoming freshman

My dream MD school is Loyola and DO school is either Midwestern or MSUCOM. If anyone could help me with a list of schools to aim for with either MD or DO, that would be great!

It all depends on your MCAT really but you seem to have a good handle on it. Continue your volunteering in the ED. What Hispanic group do you represent? Not all are considered UIM.

MCAT will make or break you. But mull over these in the time being:

U VM
Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Rochester
Rush
Rosy Franklin
BU
Hofstra
NYMC
VCU
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
George Washington
Emory
Tulane
Loyola
Any new MD school. Skip Central MI and the three new FL schools. I can't recommend CNU.
U IC
Any DO program, starting with CCOM, DMU and MUCOM.
