Hi!
I am a current first year MPH student in Epidemiology and am applying to the next cycle (application cycle of May 2016). Ugpa=3.4 Graduate gpa=4.0 and taking MCAT in June. I have been getting above 502 on the practice tests that I have taken. The main reason I did an MPH is because I felt like my undergrad courses did not prepare me for a career in health care (I was a biology major--but I barely had any experience actually working with patients in the first 2 years of undergrad). After Junior year of undergrad I started working with lots of patients, doctors, scientists etc. I volunteered in old age homes,worked with inner city school kids too. My MPH degree also gave me the opportunity to work with refugee health and my whole personal statement is based around my passion to work in disparities especially with women and children and how I really wanted to put my best foot forward and gain experiences in those fields before I went all clinical in medical school.
Do I have a shot at MD schools?
