Nontrad Athlete. What are my odds?

Any other non-clinical volunteering experiences? Being a volunteer coach is a volunteering experience about as close to your comfort zone as you can get. Doing something outside of that will look better. Think of experiences where you will get a view into the lives of people who are struggling.
Upping the clinical volunteering hours and those non-clinical hours will help.
Any ideas on your letters? Your writing and interviewing skills will be something to think about as well.
As a non-trad, you can stress less about the research. Schools understand it's difficult to get that experience for those who have decided on the medicine path after they are finished with undergrad.
I think if you get all those things in line, you should have a good chance depending on your final narrative. I'd say to apply intelligently to MD schools and add in DO schools if appropriate.
