What are my chances?

I am very interested in attending a DO school, especially one in my home state Florida. What are my chances on getting into any DO school? I have a 3.84 cgpa and 3.7 sgpa. I scored a 26 on my mcat.

I have shadowed both MD and DO ( received good letters from both). Also, I have hundreds of patient contact hours through my research with HIV. I have also researched in a neuro psych lab. I am a founding member of MED LIFE at my university . I also have hundred of hours of volunteer with clinics, Habitat for Humanity, and March of Dimes. Additionally, I attended a week long medical mission trip to Panama. There are other things I have done but these are the main ones. I also have personal experience with many DO doctor. During my gap year I am getting treatment for a medical issue and perhaps getting a masters in Microbiology.

I know my Mcat is low but it is still the average for many DO schools. I would appreciate any constructive comments on my chances. Thanks in advance!

Apply wherever you want DO school wise, you should get some love somewhere. High GPA median MCAT, good EC's. You should receive II's to a few places if you apply to around 10-12. You're good to go for LECOM-B and Nova. Good luck!

Chances are excellent for all DO schools, except AZCOM, CCOM and the coastal Touros.

Apply broadly and you will have success.

Agreed, apply to every DO school if you have the money and you'll get in somewhere. I had same MCAT score, lower GPA and not as good of a CV I applied to ~15 MD (I know waste of money) and ~15 DO and got 3 IIs.
