GPA: 3.79 at Clemson University (BCPM 3.73, AOM 3.93)
MCAT: 502, 503
Reapplicant, applied to same 3 schools last year, interviews at two, wait-listed at one.
In Calhoun Honors College (I was told at my interview for MUSC that adds 0.5 to my GPA)
Current full time medical scribe, have worked 870+ hours in ED
Current part time employee at a childcare facility, have worked over 2500 hours there since high school

I applied to MUSC, USCSOM-Columbia, USCSOM-Greenville last year, all in state. Got an interview at Greenville and Columbia. Wait listed at Greenville.

I interviewed at MUSC for this year and have one coming up in March in Columbia. Still haven't heard from Greenville.

What do you think are my chances of getting into these schools?

Tbh, you need a better MCAT. But it seems like you retook and got around the same score. Are you done retaking?

Are you applying to more than 3 schools? Statistically, few have good chances applying to only 3 schools.

What have you done differently since your last cycle? Did you get feedback from these specific schools and work toward those deficiencies?

Because I retook and got the same score.. even with changing my study habits, I chose to enhance my application by gaining clinical experience. When I applied last year, I was not a scribe. I have worked over 870 hours in the ED as a scribe. This is pretty much the only thing I've changed. I was going to retake the MCAT, but did not feel prepared and was worried it would be a negative impact on my application rather than positive. When I interviewed at MUSC, they did not seem to be concerned about my MCAT and really liked my scribe experience.

I think you have a good chance just need to boost your MCAT
