my grades consistently declined, then spike to A/A+'s. Here's a look at them semester by semester:
Freshman year 1st semester: 3.88
Freshman year 2nd semester: 3.23
Spring term: 4.0
Sophomore year 1st semester: 3.21
Sophomore year 2nd semester: 2.71 - this semester was really bad bc i was in 6-7 classes, and heaviest extracurricular commitment of my college career so far
Junior year 1st semester: 4.0
Junior year 2nd semester: 4.0
Overall science gpa of 3.6 and overall cumulative around there too. My MCAT score is 518.
I am heavily involved in many (6) extracurriculars. Everything for a year+. My bad grades are a result of my overcommitment to doing well in these extracurriculars, and I have since secured leadership positions in most of those clubs. I do research (6 hrs/wk for 2 yrs), and volunteer regularly. My clinical/shadowing experience is extensive, but it was condensed to fit within a month or so. I also have a job as a tutor in several locations, so my teaching/mentorship experience is strong
