I've been getting alot of denials, and I'm affraid this is becoming a trend. Can anyone tell me typically how many denials do people get out of their total applications? Has anyone ever gotten just one interview?
Um...what? this is strictly individual-base...and you didnt provide any stats...so how can anyone evaluate your situation and give any real opinion?
I love these threads. Oh and Envision, you are 666 right now. lol

those are addsas GPA right?
THey are higher than mine. I got into two schools. My DAT sciences and AA are higher, but my PAT is lower.
Honestly, to me... your stats are good enough to get you into somewhere.

Did you apply to Meharry or Howard...if not then you should? I think that your science GPA could possibly be hurting you...but I have seen ppl get into other schools with far less...I would wait and see...before you do a Master's program...you should probably submitt your grades from this semester as soon as you can get them to AADSAS or the schools directly.

i only got one interview
I agree go for the Masters and retake the DAT. Especially if you dont get in this cycle, it will show you are working to improve yourself. And that you really want to become a dentist.
Applying to 28 schools and getting in no where happens. you just have to roll with the punches that these schools are dealing.

haha 😛
Nice PAT score! If you applied to 28 schools, then you're going to get lots of rejections- not because you're a bad candidate but because you threw your hat in several rings so you'e bound to get rejections from several. Don't worry about it. I applied in May and by the first week of August I had 2 rejections (Case and LLU)- I didn't get my first interview until the last week of September. SO, rejections come quick and easy- the interviews take a little longer to make their way to you. And remember, no news is good news.
I recommend instead of applying to 28 schools, just picking 6-10 schools and do a deep research on them. Some schools want high grades(3.6 or higher), some high DAT(at least 20), some care a lot for good recommendation letters, even for some schools recommendation letter from a dentist is a must!, some want tons of volunteering(at least 300 h), some look for well rounded people, some look for diversity and so on.
The school that you have been rejected probably wanted something that you did not have. So know yourself, know the school that you are applying to and finally know what you want and try to seal your cracks.
However, you never know, may be you hear something soon.
