What are my chances?

I was looking at this chart, and it says for a URM the average gpa accepted is 3.50 with an SD of .31, which means the GPA's range from 3.19-3.81 ... does this mean that if I am a URM and have 3.3 gpa, and acceptable mcat score, I still have a chance? or is it still quite slim? Will A high mcat make up for my low gpa?

Your chance will be good with an "acceptable MCAT" and great with a high score. Study hard and rock the MCAT. Good luck!

I would definitely pound away on the MCAT as well. Shoot for a 32+. Also, have you thought about taking more courses to get your GPA above a 3.5?
You have to remember that there are many URM's that apply to medical school with great stats. Competition is fierce - use this as your motivation, and best of luck!

Yes, a higher MCAT score can make up for your lower GPA.
