What are my chances?

Hi all, I'd like to get some input on my chances for medical school, as I don't really know anyone who has gone through this process before:

MCAT first attempt: 11V, 9BS, 9PS and N on the essay (29N)
MCAT second attempt: 8V, 9BS, 9PS and O on the essay (26O)

My GPA is 3.51.

Dean's List
Volunteering at a hospital
Volunteering at a health clinic
Environmental work in Australia
1.5 Years Research
Participated in a Speech Conference representing my undergraduate school
Tutored in Japanese
Certified EMT

I really just want to get into any school in the north east or PA or VA.
I've already sent in my AMCAS and completed a bunch of secondaries.

What are you volunteering/work hours like? Any publications? What's your science GPA?

At the health clinic I work in the summer and volunteer 12 hours a week.
At the hospital, I work about 9 hours a week and it is during the academic year.

No publications unfortunately and my science GPA is a dismal 3.3. The only thing good about it is that I improved it from a 3.0 in 2 years time.

Your only chance is Osteopathic. If it has to be MD, you will need a 3rd MCAT, and that has to be above 30, obviously.

You should also consider an SMP to help fix your GPA. A strong SMP (say, 3.5+) with a strong MCAT (say, 32+) will get you some interviews. Then it is up to you.
