SO im done with the DAT and now I'm really nervous about my chances of getting into a dental school in California...

Here's the breakdown of my scores...

PAT: 20
QR: 17 👎
RC: 22
Bio: 22
Gchem: 23
Ochem: 23
TS: 23
AA:21

My sGPA is 3.55, and overall is 3.52. I have lots of shadowing and volunteering experience. What are my chances for USC, UCLA, UOP??

You killed it. QR is not important anymore. USC will probably take you, UCLA likes the high DAT scores but with the 23 TS theres a great chance, and UoP is a definite possibility. Congrats on the solid scores people will haveto compete with the likes of you, so dont sweat it!

for RC, I had passages about transcription/translation, language and the brain, and I can't remember the last one. I used the search and kill method. I think it saves more time than actually reading the whole passage. Some of the questions could even be answered without even looking into the passage (from bio classes or even studying for the DAT)

i studied for about 5 weeks about 10 - 12 hours a day (i know, it was pretty crazy)

i used the kaplan BB, kaplan online material, barrons AP bio book, DAT Destroyer, and Crack DAT PAT.

I would say DAT Destroyer is a great source, but only after you've done all of kaplan

what does kaplan online material include?? is that $1200 online classes package you are talking about?

I have been trying to find kaplan online questions, but cannot find the right package.

the kaplan online material is pretty much workshops with quizes, subject tests, and full length tests.

basically any kind of class you get from kaplan (either classroom or online class), you will get all that online material.
