Hey. Im an MSIII at a private medical school in NY. I've been a good student there, probably in the middle of the class, although our school doesnt rank and is pass/fail. I am really loving radiology. It fits my personality perfectly and I simply enjoy learning about it. The more I learn, the more I get excited about it. The thing is that I messed up big time on step 1, I got 215. I keep on hearing about how competitive radiology is nowadays. And it seems that my dream of becoming a radiologist is gone now. What do you guys think? Do I have a chance of matching anywhere in nyc? and I mean any program, obviously not any of the top ones, i just wanna do radiology. And what if I take step 2 and kill it, will I have any realistic chance? And is applying both to rads and medicine as backup a good idea?
