You have an pretty good shot at getting into a few schools.

Based on AMCAS data, African-American applicants with a 3.4 overall and a 24 MCAT had a 80.7% acceptance rate. (http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/applicantmatriculant/table25-black-mcatgpagrid.pdf)

Some suggestions:

1)You want to aim for a 30 MCAT. Three weeks is kind of short to study for the MCAT. Most people who are scoring 30+ are study at least 6 - 8 weeks. Take AAMC practice tests under test conditions to get a more of an accurate estimate of where you are at. If you go to the MCAT forums, they have study strategies.

2)Try getting your science GPA up to a 3.3 and your cumulative to a 3.5.

3)Make sure you have some sort of meaningful clinical or research experience.

4)Apply EARLY (in june/july) and if you have issues paying application fees and for MCAT tests, apply for the AAMC Fee Assistance Program (FAP)

Because of rolling admissions. Schools usually offer acceptances beginning in October and the go until the classes are full. More spots are available when you apply early vs. applying later in the cycle. With few spots left, they become very selective about interviews. You're usually put in a Queue whereas those with higher credentials will get looked at first.
