What are my options

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's normal to worry and to be concerned about your future. I know I felt that way when I was finishing my freshman year.

Focus on deciding on a major you like and that will stimulate you to want to learn more. You only get one chance at undergrad; you might as well spend it learning things you enjoy.

What's important is that you take time to reflect and do what YOU want to do. Don't worry so much about what degree you bring into the PT admissions process. I was a musician before going back to PT school, and things worked out for me. In my program there are lots of different backgrounds. One is a returning student who was an IT specialist for 10 years after college. Another was a professional juggler. We've got some massage therapists, some neuro and bio majors, and the occasional kines and psych major. It runs the gamut.

Chill, hang with your friends, play and study hard. The decision will make itself if you give it time to percolate.

Thank you for this. May I ask where you're studying?

PT or any career has to be set during college. For example, during college I wanted to be a lawyer so bad and I got accepted but never went because I found out that in an internship that wasn't something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I was so confused that I told myself I just wanted to get a masters degree, so I went to Georgetown University for a bit and then decided I didn't want to do that. Furthermore, everyone always told me to be a PT due to my injuries I sustained and I always considered it after my accident, but was to lazy to take the prerequisite. However, I sucked it up and now I almost done with all of them! Nonetheless, do what you love science wise and enjoy your time in college get the prerequisites and it doesn't necessarily mean you have to be a biology major, but you can be a health promotion major but also take the required prerequisites. Good luck with your decision making process!
