So here are the Stats:

First time taking the MCAT (23: 7VR, 9PS, 7BS)🙁; Thinking of retaking in sometime late summer/early fall ( 2014 Adm cycle)

Biology major and Chem Minor, graduated in April 2012 with a 3.4083 GPA overall, 3.55 science GPA
Not so much extracurricular ( No research but 1+ year of non-clinical volunteering as well as clinical and leadership in a few other clubs....)

Not looking too great, but luckily there's room to improve. Don't just be thinking about an MCAT retake; it's necessary. You're going to need to study like crazy and shoot for a 30-something. This is the critical factor; you have to improve that MCAT score.

On top of this, you need better EC's. Get involved in more volunteering, both clinical and nonclinical. Find some research opportunities. Shadow doctors. You simply don't have the EC's to get in as is.

Improve both your MCAT (significantly) and your EC's, and you've got a shot at low-tier MD schools and many DO schools. A post-bacc would further improve your chances, but I'm not certain that it's necessary if you keep your expectations realistic and apply early/broadly. It all depends on how much you can improve the other parts of your app.
