I think I'm going to get Mosby and the Complete Math Review for the Pharmacy Technician
from lurking around this forum. What should I supplement it with? Also, what should I focus on? I read that I should just focus on math and laws? What else?

I used "The Pharmacy Technician" third edition for when I took the exam this past July. I also used practice problems from pharmacy-tech-study.com. Most of the exam I had was math, I don't think I had a single law question. I also had five or so questions on brands-generics of the top 200 drugs. Good luck!!

Thanks. Did "The Pharmacy Technician" book have a math guide? I need to get 70% to pass right?

It was divided up into chapters, there was I think two full chapters devoted to the math. Also, the practice questions on pharmacy-tech-study had some math as well. They have videos explaining how to do them too. I'm not sure on how many questions you have to get right, because they've changed the scoring system since I took it in July? (or at least that's what I gathered from looking at the exams official website just now :/).

Hi, yes you have to get approx 70% to pass (a score of 650). I am taking the exam on Wednesday and have been using the book, "PTCB Exam Simplified" by David Heckman. The book is alright... I've seen a couple of editing mistakes in the book that are really annoying but otherwise it seems to explain things well. It was one of two that I could find on amazon that were based on the new exam format/content. Hope this helps!

I used the Mosby book and I did well. Passed by a lot.

Hey MrsJ2011, was the book "PTCB Exam Simplified" a good enough book for the PTCB(Pharm tech) exam? did you pass? I also sent you a message

I used Mosby's and a pharmacy calculations. I passed the PTCB on the first try. I did all the exams on the CD as well as the cue cards. Many of the questions that were on the practice exams were in Mosby's
