What MD schools would be considered mid/low tier on the East Coast AND are OOS-friendly?

Is it possible to compile a list of about 20-30 schools that fit this criteria or does that require me to "expand" my boundaries for that amount of schools?

Regarding my definition of mid/low tiers:
MCAT ranges: 29-35
GPA higher than 3.7

EDIT: ALSO they must be NON-Mission

These are East Coast low tier schools you'll see very commonly recommended

Your state schools
VCU
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Albany
Tufts
Quinnipac
Vermont
Hofstra(depends on MCAT)
Va Tech(depends on MCAT)

These you will see recommended sometimes but not as universally and are more dependent on specific applicants
Commonwealth
Penn State
WVU
SUNYS+Stony Brook

Are any of these mission specific? I forgot to clarify my question addressing those that are NOT mission centered.

To others, I plan on getting the MSAR in a few months to wait for the next update

Just get the MSAR now. The update will automatically update and you will not be charged twice. If you are applying this cycle you better get your ass on gear and submit your app.

I know you added (depends on MCAT), but I wouldn't consider a school with a median MCAT score of 34 as low tier.

Since you don't seem to be applying now you have the time to research the schools. I think the MSAR updated not too long ago so the info would be as up to date as possible.

The association of "tier", stats, and "selectivity" isn't necessarily in a continuum.

Honestly apart from the typical "top tier" programs, I don't know how anyone really differentiates mid and low tier. I guess the USNWR rankings are a rough guide.

why do you say sunys + stony brook?

I honestly have no idea how I did that lol

it's weird because on the school specific threads, sdn keeps putting stony brook by itself instead of saying suny stony brook but my impression is that stony brook is a suny school
maybe i'm missing something

Might be because Stony Brook has a large undergraduate school while Upstate and Downstate are medical centers only. Hence, Stony Brook University. Same goes for University of Buffalo.

Wake Forest, Rochester, Einstein, Dartmouth, Emory, and BU (if we ignore application volume) are all mid to upper mid tier east coast schools.
