I've seen a few people say that ER tech is the best... How about OR/surgical tech?

What other options are there for short training period? A local cc in my area has a 4 week EMT-B program; I know most hospitals require more than an EMT certificate though.

there's no single thing as the "best" pre-med experience. Just follow your interested field and see what opportunities they offer.

Surgical tech is a career. You can make 60k+ doing it. It's not really "pre-med" because it's an entire training program and you still need a bachelor's to even apply, which you won't be working towards while obtaining a surgical tech certification. Scribing is the easiest to get into -- no qualifications required.
