What are the chances

I got my sdcores today for NBDE I and got a composite score of 82. My GPA is 3.44.

Do I have any chances to making any university next year? Please help and advice!!!

This will help me in deciding if I should start preparing for TOEFL or not.

you never know.

no harm in applying , but you can start studying also in the meantime.

toefl ain't tht hard, so get that done with!

thanks for the reply......right now i am in a very tight spot.....i have to meet the dead line for some univ by sept ......can you help me in finding out where all can i apply and what all do i need like recmmendations and experience cert. etc......

thanks for replying kpk.....deep down i also know that its not a great score but then i justify myself thinking that this is the best i could do with a 1 1/2 year old around me all the time and also managing all the chores......me being all by myself.....although my husband did his best to support me.I also understand that people who will accept/reject my application will not look in to all this and will think all this to be a part of an excuse made, not to fare well.Well thats the best i could do and i know there must be many people here in the forum just like me ,in the same situation,but might have fared better than me......but i cannot challenge my luck.....which i know is .......anyways lets see what happens next....

I never knew you, but still i can understand what u have said! I am studying with a 4yr old and everyday my Kid keeps asking when is ur exam is gonna get over? Its tough!!

I completely believe and trust each and every min of hard work will get paid! even if not now, some day for sure!! It will definitely happen
You cant predict sometime people with 92 get rejected and same school accepts people with 87. dont get disheartened!! Be optimistic!!

I have same dilemma....please guys, advise what should i DO....i wanted to apply to california schools only and now i just feel lost.

GPA- 3.1
TOEFL-104
NBDE- 83
some experience in U.S w/ observership.
I just got my score today and i feel really bad.

I am sure ur 4 yr old must be doing this,so when is your exam?I am preparing for toefl now and my son when he is back from the daycare,although its not a good thing for him to do,throws away my books or bangs at the laptop ,showing some kind of regression that enough of it now....spend some time with me...lol......
So where are you from and where have you done your dentistry from?

"dont worry",i know those are the last words you want to listen because i have been listening them eversince i have got my result.Evrybody thinks that we have a chance with this kind of score but i am not sure.....atleast not in a good univ.....
So all we can do is to apply to the very limited no. of univ and sit back and wait for some miracle to happen to us!
I know i might not sound very opptimistic but yes ,i am done with my quota of studying for atleast this year.If at all i have to retake nbde ,i will think of it next year......

dreamdr....thats all we have left now....I really dont believe my score..i only got a 83....i dont know where all these scores are coming from!
which univ are u applying to? are u applying to ucsf? cuz they said that they still want a minmum of 75 in each subject...which mean...im not even qualified for it....are all ur subject scores over 75? please let me know which schools ur applying to

Yep i agree with you that even after this amount of hardwork majority of people are getting lower scores......maybe we can assume that this is how the scores gonna average🙂,because definetly the new format is tough than the old one...
i know we are left with very few choices .....cant apply where they need nbde 2,greencard/perm resident,nbde 1 scores 85 and above, for me i cant apply where 83 is reqd and also lets see my toefl scores....so thats gonna be another criteria.....so all i am left with is nyu,ucla(just to try my luck,but there bench exam scares me),and pacific univ and rest i am doing my research on🙁. i wanted to apply to uci ,but it sucks to know that they accept only gc/pm.....

Im just applying to all california schools except UCSF( not qualified for it) and UIC.....to tell u the truth, i am ready for the rejection letters...just trying my luck and wasting around $700.....so we will see

Any advice for the bench exam?I am just too scared what all we have to do because i am just out of touch with crown cutting and cavity preparation for a long time now🙁
