This is an example that's been running through my head, especially since categorizing one's classes can be difficult.

Example:

I'm entering my course work into my AADSAS application, and all numbers, class titles, grades, and credit hours are correctly entered.

However, I classify a class incorrectly. E.g. - I mark the course as "Science" when AADSAS really classifies it as "Other Science."

Will this incorrect label delay my transcript verification process, hence slowing the submission of my application to the schools?

Thanks for any help! 🙂

No, this won't really hurt you, they'll just change it for you when they do Transcript verification - everyone makes typos.

That's good to know.

I've heard people say that if there's a typo in the course name, AADSAS will tell you to fix the problem. Then one you fix it, they begin the verification process again, thus leading to a big delay in sending your application.

I am hoping that AADSAS doesn't have the same/similar policy for the mislabeling situation I described in my first post, seeing that the ability to make the mistake is much more deceiving.

I had it sent back to me last year, they basically made me do it all over, long story. So i called up afraid i would be put back at the end of the weeks long line and they said, no if you do it within like 2 days you'll keep your spot in line. I finished it submitted it, and it was verified 2 days later (lightening speed for AADSAS) I went out with the first mailing, no harm done. However if you got that email 2 days before the cutoff for the first mailing those two days might make you miss a mailing. So do it right the first time, or do it early to ensure time for errors. My mistake was for course numbers i would put 1600-001 and they didn't want the section just the 1600, even though they said list it exactly as it appears on your transcript.

That's an incredible help to hear! Thank you!

It's nice to know that AADSAS is understanding.

I hope they would be just as accommodating if one mislabeled a course too. :xf:

Yeah, I hear that if you've just got one or two small obvious errors, they'll just do it for you, but if you've got an error going throughout, they'll send it back, and like cmcner was saying, if that does happen, just fix it asap and hopefully you won't get a delay.
