I was wondering what procedural type skills are commonly assessed by medical schools and required in order to graduate. Also, curious what the assessment format is/how it's graded (group based, individual in a lab; pass/no pass; can you repeat if you don't pass on first try etc)? I'm not referring to procedures learned informally or those that students may get to do on rotations depending on preceptor, interest level etc....I'm interested in those that are built into the curriculum formally and assessed in a standardized format for everyone in order to graduate/pass a course (i.e. ones that everyone needs to demonstrate successfully on a patient in front of preceptor/faculty in order to graduate)

Thanks!
