I think most of the site/questions were developed by a couple of Harvard-Affiliated EM residents/attendings (BWH/MGH) as a research project looking into medical student education (specifically within EM).
That link is interesting, but I guess i'm still unclear as to what the questions actually are. Are these just specially-chosen mutlichoice questions? Is it a timed test? How should one optimally prepare? thx.

My understanding is that they are EM-specific questions (grouped by chief complaint or organ system) that medical students who are on their EM clerkship can use as a metric for EM-based knowledge. I heard that some course directors out there use the scores somehow as part of their clerkship evaluation, but my sense is that it's mostly used as an informal learning tool.

There is no EM "shelf exam" out there, so I think this was intended to provide a resource to students who wanted to test their EM knowledge.

I did an away rotation where we were tested on a subset of these questions at the end of the month.
