Just wondering, how are some of the M3s on this board setting up their M4 year?

Well this obviously depends on what your goals are for me.... (and i am still waiting to talk to my advisor) but I plan on doing an
1)away EM rotation
2) Sub I in Medicine,
3) easy little 2 week class so I can start at the appropriate date at....
3) Home EM rotation
4) Some joke elective to study for Step II

Thats the idea as of right now but I need to talk to an advisor about it!

For all of you M3s out there - I highly recommend the away rotations at Resurrection in Chicago (nice pace, serious pathology), Indiana (if you get Wishard it is a tremendous "county" experience and the didactic teaching is great), and Mayo (in addition to decent pathology, great teaching, and a cool program, we mandate specific procedures from student rotators so everyone in the department works to get you some decent experiences).

Just my thoughts, your milage may vary!
