1- Did you apply for the schools that don't require PCAT like Western Univ, Loma Linda, or UCSF?
2- Please tell me your thoughts on these schools that don't require entrance exams.

Personally, I feel that the PCAT is merely a threshold percentile that cuts a significant portion of the applicants out who cannot manage under pressure. For UBC, the weight of your PCAT score was not significant in comparison to GPA/Interviews/Extracurricular and thus... the year after my admission it is gone (pshh).

I'd say that whether a school requires this test or not is not a big deal.. if I had a choice to not write it I would definitely not haha. I guess that's what happens when you put it off and study for 1 week.

Did you apply as an out of state student?
for UCSF- you didn't finish the supplemental on time ? did you get a call for an interview??

No didn't apply as an out of state student. Ucsf and ucsd have the longest supplemental apps and ask u to write multiple essays. No didn't get an interview at ucsf because u have to finish the supplemental by the deadline in order for your application to be considered complete.

Oh ok! Thanks for letting me know! Are you at Loma Linda now? How do you like their Pharmacy School? If you not mind sharing! 🙂

I did most of the California non-PCAT schools: UCSD, USC, UCSF, UoP. For most cases I don't think the PCAT tells pharm schools anything more than what your grades and coursework already say (providing you come from an established university). You have several of the top pharmacy schools not requiring entrance exams.

They definitely make up for it in the length of supplementals though. I thought UCSD's was even worse than UCSF's.
