One thing to take into consideration is where you would like to practice after you get out of school (or military). The connections made in dental school in that area can make or break a future associateship or purchase. For instance, if you plan on working in the southeast I would say the UNC name carries more weight versus the iron belt where OSU would win out...
Im not too familiar with OSU's program, but every dentist I have consulted concerning my decision has said UNC hands down. Not just because they are instate for me, and its cheaper/lower living expenses (which makes a difference with or without a military scholarship) but the clinical strength of the university is known nationwide...
