what can you bring to our first year medical class?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Funfetti!

All joking aside, no one can tell you what to write for this. Your answer will be unique to your own life experiences. Spend some time thinking about what YOU have to offer that reflects your particular strengths as an applicant.

Think about what sorts of things med schools and interviewers in general like to hear. Say those things. Good options are leadership (if you can back it up with some sort of activity), communication skills, team building, and unique perspective (again, need to back this one up).

Or you might be an experienced point person in organizing or encouraging leisuretime (and thus stress-relieving) activities.

I agree with Al in that whatever you say, you should be able to demonstrate that can, in fact, bring that quality to the class by pointing to your experiences/activities. Otherwise you won't be taken seriously.

You don't have to come up with an off-the-wall answer. Just talk about what makes you, you.

You could also use any unique experiences you've had -- they would lend you a unique perspective you could share, etc....
