What classes are prereqs for DO school? Diff from Med school?

check the CIB a bunch of DO schools require biochem which isn't necessarily a requirement for MD. Some also require genetics and 6 credits of behavioral sciences.
Many MD schools require Biochem.
Both DO and MD schools are medical schools. They have the same general requirements. Some schools -- both MD and DO -- have extra requirements.

Some DO schools are a lot more anal about prereqs than MD schools, even more so than upper tier MD schools. MSU has a ton of extra science coursework required to even consider you.
I'd check individual schools you are applying to ... not just MD vs DO. You'll find an array of some schools wanting behavioral sciences, others wanting more english, some biochem, some extra p chem, etc etc.
It's good that you're doing the leg work on this now. I ended up submitting my primary app to two schools that wanted biochem and some other courses. I didn't want to take another undergraduate course just to go to the school, so I didn't submit the secondaries. All this extra course business is nonsense. They should keep it simple.
I think this just happens no matter how well you research. In my case, I went to an undergrad that puts out a TON of pre-meds, so they pack everything possible into pre-med/science majors to try and cover everything and still had various cases where I was missing things. Behavioral science is what worries me the most.
Yeah the behavioral science requirements I think are a little out there... 3 credits OK since you generally need a psych or something like that to graduate but to ask for 6 ... now thats crossing the line ha Same with english really... I think what turned me into a better writer was my compulsive reanalysis of my PS every other day for months 
Yeah, the behavioral science requirements are so ambiguous and can differ substantially from school to school. As if there wasn't enough trouble just to get into medical school, they find a way to make it just a little bit harder.
